Summary

Hands-on STEM lessons for students covering earth science, chemistry, physics, and biology. Activities model crust deformation with play-dough to show folding and faulting, run baking soda–vinegar trials to test how reactant amounts change products, and explore cohesion and surface tension with water drops and soap. Students investigate energy with a ramp “roller coaster” fair test and learn density and floating with clay and wax. Ocean current models show wind-driven flow and temperature mixing, and two photosynthesis labs measure oxygen production using aquatic plants or leaf disk flotation under light.
