Sticky Molecules STEM Lesson
If you have questions about this resource, contact your county Extension office.
Summary
This activity has students use droppers and water on wax paper to observe cohesion and surface tension by making drops, moving them, trying to split them, and watching drops rejoin. An optional step adds dish soap to show how changing conditions affect the “stickiness,” and a simple coloring demonstration shows that water is always in motion.
