We've Got a Floater STEM Lesson

Summary
This lesson uses clay and candle wax to explore density as the relationship between mass and volume and to explain why some objects float or sink in water. Students predict outcomes, observe that a heavier material can still float, and compare equal volumes to decide which substances are more or less dense than water. A graph-based activity then guides students to calculate unknown densities and match them to real objects, reinforcing how density relates to floating behavior.
