Summary

A month-by-month look at pregnancy changes in the second trimester (months 4 to 6). Describes growing baby skills like movement, thumb sucking, heartbeat, eyelashes and nails, and rapid brain development, plus common changes for the pregnant person such as increased appetite, weight gain, a growing belly, stronger fetal movement, and possible heartburn or constipation. Encourages prenatal care, enough calories, iron and folate-rich foods, a varied diet, moderate exercise, and avoiding alcohol, drugs, and smoking.
