Summary
The current linear food system production model of “take-produce-consume-discard” is no longer sustainable. The circular bioeconomy represents a transformative approach to sustainability by fostering the efficient use and regeneration of renewable biomass. Meanwhile, new technologies like precision agriculture (PA) and precision livestock farming (PLF) are critical tools that will play a vital role as we consider several factors that will play major roles in reaching a circular bioeconomy.
