Summary

A beginner 4-H leadership project that helps youth understand what leadership is in themselves, in organizations, and in their community. Activities include identifying and describing personal leadership style, recognizing leadership qualities like honesty and motivation, and learning skills used by effective group leaders. Youth also practice initiative and creativity by brainstorming solutions to club or community issues and build responsibility by taking on leadership roles. The project encourages respect for different leadership styles and viewpoints by comparing how others lead.
