Summary

A beginner 4-H consumer education project that introduces how people earn, spend, save, and share money. Youth explore sources of income and how education connects to careers, then learn basic economic ideas like wants versus needs, goods versus services, and supply and demand. Activities also cover what taxes are and why communities fund services, plus the basics of budgeting, setting savings goals, and understanding credit. The project encourages thoughtful purchasing decisions and introduces housing choices and community giving.
