Summary
Hands-on ocean introduction for upper elementary and middle school students using a Nearpod lesson. Students learn key ocean facts, identify and label the five oceans on a world map, and explore ocean areas through virtual reality research questions. The lesson also highlights ocean life, including common ocean plants, coral reefs and why they need protection, and basic adaptations that help marine animals survive. Includes discussion prompts about undiscovered ocean areas and ocean-related careers.
