Summary

Beginner 4‑H outcomes introduce youth to raising and evaluating goats. Topics include basic terms and operation types, meat/dairy/mohair breeds, key body parts and conformation, normal health signs and vaccinations, injection types and reading medicine labels, needed equipment and recordkeeping, feeding basics for ruminants, simple genetics and reproduction terms, carcass cuts and goat products, and introductory showmanship and livestock judging skills.
