Measuring the Efficacy of Plant Growth Regulators Application on Cotton
If you have questions about this resource, contact your county Extension office.
Summary
Plant Growth Regulators (PGR) are commonly used in cotton production to balance vegetative and reproductive growth. However, due to the large influence environmental conditions have on PGRs, managing the correct application timing and rate could be tricky. Thus, growers often struggle to properly control vegetative growth throughout a growing season. Thus, it is important for growers to be able to measure if their potential PGR application rate or application timing was effective or not.
