Summary
The Jorō spider (Trichonephila clavata Koch) is a species of orb-weaver spider native to Japan, Korea, China, Indochina, and Nepal. In the US they were first documented in Georgia in 2014 and has been reported in at least 11 states including Tennessee. This fact sheet aims to provide understanding of Joro Spider identification, biology and management.
