Making the Most of Your Holiday Leftovers

Summary
Make holiday leftovers safe and delicious with simple storage, reheating, and meal ideas. Refrigerate foods within 2 hours, cool quickly in shallow containers, and eat most leftovers within 4 days or freeze for 3 to 4 months for best quality. Reheat to 165 F and thaw safely in the fridge, cold water, or microwave. Turn leftovers into sandwiches, soups, casseroles, salads, breakfast dishes, Tex-Mex meals, skillet meals, or loaded baked potatoes.
