Summary
The Tennessee Cooperative Wild Turkey Project, initiated in 2017, aims to monitor turkey reproduction, survival, habitat use, harvest, hunter numbers, disease surveillance, and develop alternative management strategies for habitat and hunting season structure. The project, which has been one of the longest-running telemetry projects on wild turkeys, has been particularly significant in south-middle Tennessee.
