Summary
Advanced 4‑H Sheep Project outcomes outline the high-level skills youth should master after completing beginner and intermediate levels. Topics include animal agriculture issues and public perception, low-stress handling, vaccine types, biosecurity and health plans, and safe medication use. Youth also learn advanced nutrition and ration balancing, reproduction technologies and breeding/lambing plans, genetics (including DNA and scrapie testing), carcass evaluation and lamb products, and facility needs, plus opportunities for contests and mentoring younger members.
