Summary
Beginner 4‑H Beef Project learning outcomes introduce youth to the basics of raising and evaluating beef cattle. The checklist covers industry types, common beef and dairy breeds, animal sexes and body parts, simple genetics and EPDs, feeds and nutrients, reproduction terms, safe health practices and disease ID, carcass cuts and beef products, basic growth measurements, and simple profit/loss and marketing concepts. Skillathon participation is encouraged.
