Summary

Rodents can pose a risk to food safety through produce contamination in fields, high tunnels, greenhouses, storage sheds, and packinghouses. Rodents can also damage infrastructure by burrowing or gnawing through various building materials. Utilizing rodent management practices, such as exclusion, habitat modification, toxicants, and trapping, in farm structures can lower the risk of crop contamination and property damage.
