Agriculture and the Circular Bioeconomy Across Sub-Saharan Africa
If you have questions about this resource, contact your county Extension office.
Summary
Transforming the agricultural food system from the current linear production system, often called a “take-make-waste” system, to a circular bioeconomy that reduces, recycles, recovers, reuses, and regenerates wastes and transitions from fossil to biobased fuels and products is being hailed as critical for meeting the world’s growing population’s need for food, fiber, and fuel in an environmentally sustainable manner. Much potential for a circular bioeconomy exists across Sub-Saharan Africa.
