Summary

“Advances in Automation within Task” is part II of an Extension publication series in which we examine the portion of a given task that is mechanized or automated at nurseries in the United States and compare that to previously reported levels. This series was developed as a resource for the nursery industry, Extension agents, and automation manufacturers who serve the green industry to use as they consider options for automation as a means to increase production efficiency and reduce labor needs in the face of an increasingly scarce labor force.
