Summary

Economic development districts (EDDs) are regional units of planning that support economic development in urban, suburban, and rural areas. In Tennessee, nine EDDs were established under the 1965 Tennessee Development District Act. As counties transition from rural to suburban and urban, Extension CED staff help navigate these changes and identify collaborative opportunities.
