Summary
Predicting genetic merit in beef cattle populations requires accurate measurements of economically relevant traits, accurate pedigrees, and records on shared animals. Total herd reporting, total herd enrollment, or whole herd reporting generates records for each cow and calf, allowing for more accurate EPDs.
